We hear the phrase “History repeats itself” every so often. And in 26 years of life, I can undoubtedly say that this is true. However, history comes back an is evolved with modern twists. This is especially true in pop-culture and urban fashion. We are obsessed with “Retro”. It could be that nostalgic memory that it creates that reminds us of our childhood for a moment, or possibly that; “My parents couldn’t afford these when I was younger and I always wanted them. Now I’m going to buy them and wear them like I had them back then!” attitude. Whatever the case may be, we prove this theory year after year. Remember throwback jerseys? Or how about the now popular snap-backs. Skinny jeans? Are we really doing mo-hawks, mullets and high top fades again? Point and case.
Today we want to focus on the fashion trend of Military Jackets. It takes a certain level of confidence to rock one of these bad boys. As well as quite a bit of searching to find a nice one and they are pretty pricey.

Today, we are beginning to see the trend resurface with stars like Beyonce, Rhianna and Kim Kardashian to Jay-Z, Kanye West and Chris Brown.
But as you can see, it’s evolved. Kanye’s jacked is veri similar to the 17th Century French Army jackets. Chris Browns’ jacket was done in leather, Rhianna’s was in denim and Kim Kardashians’ was made into a vest. Keep your eye on this trend and if you want to make a statement, go with a military jacket.
